Grace has become my little cook in the kitchen. She enjoys helping to "mix" things. She's even become quite adept at baking and "testing" things both in their raw and cooked state. I have to keep a close eye on her. It takes more work, effort and patience, but we're managing to create some really fun things together. We made a pretty neat number 2 birthday cake and you'll see the yummy cupcakes we baked when I post her birthday pictures.
I hope she continues to keep up the good work right into and beyond the teen years.
Where has the time gone? I can't believe Grace has just turned 2. It's been 2 wonderful years as we've watched our firstborn grow and develop into a very special girl.
At 2 Grace is:
G: God's amazing gift R: Raring to go at all times A: Always on the move C: Cute, cuddly and cheeky E: Excited and energetic
We had a great birthday party with some of the special friends Grace has known since she was only a few months old. Thanks Carol and Ivar for the balloons; the girls had sooooo much fun with them.
We were also honoured to receive so many packages and cards through the mail. Thanks Uncle Grenville, gramps, gran, Geraldine and even our long awaited package from South Africa arrived in perfect time for Grace's birthday. It was such fun to get all these gifts leading up to the big day!! It kind of makes up for the family that can't be here to celebrate along with us. But, we can't wait for the day when we'll be able to celebrate these special times with them. Our prayer for Grace is that she will know God and have a personal relationship with Him. We pray she will love Him and walk close to Him always.
Grace you've brought us such joy and we love you with all our hearts.
My girl had her first haircut shortly before her 2nd birthday. She was sooooo good. We spoke about how she needed to sit very still in the chair while the lady cut her hair and she did me proud. We took lots of pictures and saved her baby locks in a special bag. Way to go Gracie!!!!
