Amazed!!!

Grace 7 months old Grace 3 days old

Grace amazes me!! I'm in awe of God's creation...............a little baby. Each day she learns and experiences something new. I enjoy watching her make new discoveries, the way she focuses intently with her eyes, the way she strains her neck to hear and listen to a sound which interests her, the way she gently uses her hands to clasp at something. Her world is interesting.............and as her mom I'm working daily to make it safe, secure, loving and happy. She's a special and precious little girl and God chose Glynn and I to be her parents. How blessed we are.

Today brought back special memories for me as I had a hospital visit. While there, I thought back to the time Grace was born at St. Luc, just 7.5 months ago. What an incredible journey it's been thus far and there's still so much more in store for us. What a responsibility............it's something we cannot do alone. I was therefore glad to read this Bible verse today. Isaiah 40:11 "He tends His flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs(our children) in His arms and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those(parents) that have young"

We're also thankful to Grace's grandma's and grandpa's who take such an interest in her well-being.

It's Good To Be Back!!

Look at me mama!!!!Help save me..........I'm stuck!!!!
Thank you for the pics Aunty Carol
Higher daddy...........I like it!!

Wow!!! I can't believe we're back online after more than a month. I could do without the phone and the telly, but it was hard being without the internet. I've become so dependent on the world wide web for most of my communication and our finances. Anyway, so much has happened since my last posting. Here's the latest............

We're really enjoying our new home!!!! It's cosy and meets all the needs of our family. We're close to the Metro and within walking distance from shops so I don't need to take the car. It's an established neighbourhood which is what we prefer. We even have a church in our street so we constantly hear the ringing of church bells. It's a good feeling!!!

Grace is growing up!!

  • She got her second tooth at 6 months and decided she'd had enough of lying down and preferred sitting up.
  • After weeks of moving only in reverse gear and getting caught under the sofa and chairs she can finally move forward. She's now crawling forward and getting into TROUBLE.
  • She loves saying "dada" and talks constantly.
  • Grace is pulling herself up to stand. You'll see a pic of her...........she's such a proud girl!!!!
  • She enjoys sitting in her highchair while eating solids and can also drink from a sippy cup...........only water's allowed! She's a good eater some days and other days she's wearing more food on her face.
  • She's an inquisitive wee thing and loves to check out the world she lives in.

We delight in watching her learn new skills. She's such a character..........we're constantly in fits of laughter at the things she does.

At her last doc visit she weighed 8.190 kg and her length was 67cm.

She's also just recovered from her first bout of sickness.............bronchitis! Thank goodness she's all better now.

Well, I think that's all for now.
