The Latest Update

It's been confirmed. We'll go into hospital on Monday evening and they will induce on Tuesday.

The standard time for staying in hospital is 5 days, in Belgium, so it may be a while before I'm able to post another update.

Thank you for your prayers,

God Bless!!

Praises for good health

Baby and I had our monitoring and doc visit on Friday 16th Feb.

Baby has a good, strong heartbeat, the placenta is healthy and Baby is as active as ever despite the ever increasing resrictions on space. It's wonderful to be able to see our little one's heartrate, kick count and I was even able to see the contractions I was having. Baby is now weighing 2.9kg and mommy is 1.5cm dilated. Things are therefore progressing.

Due to the gestational diabetes, doc is looking at a possible induction on Tuesday 27th Feb. Everything will be confirmed at our visit on Friday.

I have a cute picture of Baby sticking his/her tongue out during the ultrasound!! How cool is that!!! It's been such a blessing to see our Angel so often!!

Snow Day

Yesterday, we had our first huge snowfall for Winter. Rather late this year. The Winter's been pretty warm compared to last year.

The snow came down thick and fast taking everyone by surprise. I attempted going to Bible Studies, but after driving a very, very short distance...........like just up the road, I realized it was too dangerous and decided to return home. There was just no traction on the tyres. Not safe!!

I tried to take some pictures but had to abandon that idea when I realized the camera was not charged. My hopes of taking some later in the day were dashed when the snow started melting.

So, pretty memories will have to suffice this time.

Update..........

My visit to the gynaecologist on Wednesday included monitoring of baby and an ultrasound. Baby had a very good, strong heartbeat and at one point it sounded like a team of galloping horses!!!! We've also been blessed with an active little one!!!!

Then followed the ultrasound. The placenta is healthy and baby's a good size. Great news!! Of course it's always wonderful to see baby so often. I saw a clenched hand lying close to his/her face and a cute little foot.

Baby now weighs about 2.4 kg and mama is weighing in at 63.9kg.

My blood-sugar levels is under control and I need to keep it that way till the end of the pregnancy.

My next visit is in 2 weeks.

Till later,

Robyn
