Our 22nd week scan and visit with doc

We had our 22nd week scan on Friday 3 November.

Glynn and I marvelled at our little angel on Friday!!

The scan took about 40 mins and baby was given a full head to toe check. We saw baby's organs: the heart, liver, bladder, brain and all baby's bodyparts: the ears, fingers, nose, feet, eyes, arms, legs even baby's chin and lips. We even got to see the umbilical cord.........baby's first "toy" .

We were so amazed by this little miracle which God has blessed us with!!! The Giver of Life truly gives precious gifts!!

Our angel was soooooo active, it was hard for the doctor to get a good picture of him/her. I love feeling baby move and feel blessed to have a baby who constantly let's me know..........."hey mommy, I'm here"

Then, we had our visit with the ob/gyn. My belly is measuring at 23 cm and I have put on 4.8 kg since the start of my pregnancy. Our next visit is on 29 November.

I'll soon be posting the latest pics of Angel.

Our holiday in Germany

The beautiful countryside

Glynn and I have have just returned from spending a few days in Germany. We drove to the Mosel region which is largely a wine area with the Mosel river running through it.

We decided to rent a bungalow in one of the parks rather than book into a hotel. In retropsect, an EXCELLENT choice. The bungalow was fantastic, the service was great and the setting was much more beautiful than being stuck in one little hotel room. We'll definitely be doing this again.

Glynn and I took daily excursions to villages in the region. Some of the places we visited were Bernkastel, Cochem, Linz, Monschau and a few others. We even got to drive onto a ferry to cross the Rhine. This was fun!!!!

The villages were so quaint and different. Some villages were really tiny, but full of charm!! The buildings were different to what we've seen in other places and the people were friendly and helpful too!!!

It was wonderful to get out of the "concrete jungle" and into "God's garden" The Autumn colours were absolutely STUNNING!!!!

Thank you for a wonderful holiday hubby!!
