Special Times

We got to enjoy a special visit when our friends Wesley and Nicole came over from the US to spend a week with us in Brussels. They came laden with gifts, some were wish list requests and others were just a wonderful surprise! Thank you the maternity wear, book, our baby's gift and taking the time to buy all the items on my wish list!!!! They also came bearing gifts from my good friend Janice Potter. Janice, thank you for the calendars, preggie book and maternity wear!! I was made to feel so special...............thank you for showering us with so much love!

We spent a couple of days in Amsterdam and the rest of the time was spent visiting Brugge and seeing sights in Brussels.

Here are some pics of our week together.

Our trip to Amsterdam

Last week we visited Amsterdam. This was our first trip out there and we got to enjoy the sights with our 2 friends from the USA, Wesley and Nicole. Our sight-seeing included visiting the Anne Frank house, Rijks Museum, traversing along Amsterdam's many canals in the Canal-Bus, visiting the market and just wandering the city. A friend recommended eating a pancake at the Pancake House and their pancakes were delicious! We were intrigued by the number of bikes we saw and it was pleasant to see more bikes than cars about. It did however make crossing the roads more treacherous as we needed to be aware of bike and car lanes. We stayed on The Botel, which is a floating hotel. The stay was rather interesting!!
